(Price per 1 bulb)From the grower:
This rare Galanthus species hails from the Greek island of Samothraki in the northern Aegean Sea, where the famed Nike/Winged Victory statue was also discovered. Found in the wetter lowlands amid streams. It produces two spikes per bulb when grown well and is closely related to G. nivalis but features smooth, shiny green leaves without the white median marking.
I grew these from seed from which this flower was open-pollinated and crossed with a yellow form, i.e., Primrose Warburg. In that case, the next generation of seedlings will have some yellow offspring and you won’t have to wait for two snowdrop generations.
